Windermere Real Estate/Lane County (the Company) has deep historical roots. Founded in 1974 by Jean Tate, after great success the company was sold in 1989 to a group of eight local real estate brokers. Jean Tate Real Estate became part of the Windermere franchise in 1998.
Since 1972, Windermere Real Estate has been serving the Northwest with more than 250 offices in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana. Nevada, California, Arizona and British Columbia. Residential real estate is the mainstay of Windermere’s business, with offices and associates specializing in single-family housing properties, new construction, condominiums and upscale properties. Windermere has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities it serves. Every time a Windermere associate completes a real estate transaction, a portion of the commission is donated to the Windermere Foundation, a not-for-profit organization. The funds are then distributed to homeless assistance programs within each office’s community.
Matt and Tanya Powell purchased Windermere Real Estate/Lane County in April, 2003. The Powells were brokers with Windermere Real Estate/lane County prior to ownership. Both Matt and Tanya have been active in the real estate community and other professional business associations.
Currently Matt is the General Manager for the company. The Company offers real estate services in the widest local geographical area, with over one hundred brokers in offices in three Lane County communities.

The Mission Statement was created by Matt and Tanya Powell in April, 2003, and continues to drive the Company. We believe in our Mission Statement, and we strive to live up to it. Our commitment to providing exceptional service extends both within and without the walls of our offices.
